Hextacy is finally out of beta!

Show Hextacy your love and get the full game on Android Market for 15 SEK (~$2). Of course there’s a Lite version available as well, featuring the normal game mode and no online leaderboards.

Online leaderboards

Another update to the beta version of Hextacy: online leaderboards! I’m currently hosting the leaderboards myself, as OpenFeint and Scoreloop doesn’t really fulfill my requirements of a good online leaderboard implementation. The update is available on Android Market.

Changelog 0.7:
- Online leaderboards added
- Faded out tiles darkened slightly
- Several bug fixes

Two new game modes

Version 0.6 of Hextacy is available in Android Market. The major part of the update is two new game modes that put a twist on the original one. In Hardcore, the player may eliminate no more than three hexes at a time, forcing more strategy in order to score high. In Pure mode, the power ups are removed to give the player a harder challenge. Enjoy!

Changelog 0.6:
- Hardcore and Pure modes added
- Possible to reset hi scores
- Game ruining touch input bug fixed
- Splash screen should now scale properly to different screen sizes

Minor update available

A minor update is available on Market, adding a splash screen, app-to-SD transfer, and various tweaks and fixes.

Changelog 0.5.3:
- Splash screen added
- Hiscore name input limited to ten characters
- App-to-SD transfer enabled for Android 2.2 users
- Stores name for hiscore name input
- Possible to exit pause menu by pushing menu button
- Fix of game ruining bug when physical keyboard is slided in/out
- Android 2.1 or higher is now required

Force close fix

I’ve had some reports about the game force closing when the game exits on certain devices. There’s an update on Android Market taking care of the problem, with this update the requirements are bumped to Android 2.0.

Changelog 0.5.2:
- Fix of texture distortion bug introduced in update 0.5.1.

Changelog 0.5.1:
- Fix of FC on certain devices
- Android 2.0 or higher is now required.
